Job Overview

As a Director/ Senior Manager, AI and Data, you will spearhead the development and deployment of cutting-edge Data, AI and Generative AI solutions. You will collaborate closely with the onsite leadership team to define the roadmap and deliverables for AI projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Azure technologies and be comfortable working within a global team structure, including following the strategic direction and instructions provided by the leadership team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of data engineers, data scientists, ML engineers, and analysts to develop, implement, and optimize AI and data-driven models and solutions.
  • Drive the development and application of Generative AI and advanced analytics.
  • Utilize Azure technologies to build scalable, robust data infrastructure and AI systems.
  • Collaborate with the US Directors to define the AI and data strategy, setting clear deliverables and timelines while adhering to strategic directives.
  • Collaborate with Data Governance Manager to define Governance and security strategy.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of AI and data projects, from conception to production deployment and ongoing maintenance.
  • Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of AI and data systems in production.
  • Stay current with industry advancements in AI, data science, and related technologies, applying new knowledge to enhance team innovation.
  • Develop and implement best practices for data governance, model evaluation, validation, and monitoring.
  • Mentor and support team members, promoting a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Communicate complex AI and data strategies and results to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. Ph.D. is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience Data Management, Data Science or, and analytics, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong expertise in advanced analytics, and experience with Azure technologies such as data lake, Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric and Purview.
  • Strong understanding and experience with Data Governance, security, metadata and data quality. Solid understanding of One Lake and Data Fabric architecture.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and big data technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of leading successful data and AI projects from ideation to deployment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in advanced analytics, Data governance, metadata management and Data Quality.
  • Knowledge of MLOps, statistics, natural language processing, computer vision, or other specialized AI fields.
  • Experience with AI ethics and responsible AI practices along with Data Governance and security and monitoring.
