Seeking a Subject Matter Expert to play a pivotal role in developing assessment items aligned to state standards.This project involves creating test questions in the style of state test blueprints for ELA grades 3-8 and English I. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Learning Design team to generate and review AI-generated multiple-choice and non-multiple-choice questions developed for each grade level and state.Key Responsibilities:Evaluating questions for accuracy, pedagogical relevance, and rigor, ensuring alignment to standards and/or Unpacked Standards Measurable Objectives (USMOs).Reviewing each question, including attached passages, for content accuracy and clarity, pedagogical relevance, and rigor of assessment.Collaborating with the Learning Design team to ensure feedback provided is correctly applied to generated questions, validating items, and providing sign off on content accuracy, relevance, rigor, and standards/objective alignment.Authoring items, including sources or creating passages as necessary, ensuring that each item aligns with specified ELA standards, meets rigor expected according to DOK levels, adheres to pedagogical best practices, and aligns with client guidelines.The successful candidate will have expertise in English Language Arts (ELA) for grades 3-8 and HS English I content level, with a focus on Depth of Knowledge (DOK) levels 2 and 3.
