Boomerang International Educational Services (BIES) supports universities and colleges in Australia and worldwide to market their services in overseas markets and attract international students. Our team offers comprehensive consultation and support services to international students who wish to study abroad, assisting them with course recommendations, applications, visa requirements, and ongoing support throughout their journey.

Role Description:
The SEO Specialist will play a crucial role in optimizing the digital presence of Boomerang International Educational Services and our partner institutions. This role focuses on implementing and managing SEO strategies to enhance online visibility, drive organic traffic, and attract international students.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SEO best practices, be skilled in data-driven decision-making, and possess the ability to collaborate across teams to achieve business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Keyword Research and Content Strategy:
• Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify high-performing search terms and opportunities aligned with organisational goals.
• Collaborate with content creators to develop and implement an SEO-driven content strategy to increase brand visibility and user engagement.
2. On-Page SEO Optimisation:
• Optimise website content, meta tags, headers, images, and URLs for search engine performance.
• Ensure all web pages are structured effectively to rank for target keywords and meet user intent.
3. Technical SEO:
• Conduct regular SEO audits to identify and resolve technical issues such as crawl errors, broken links, and duplicate content.
• Improve website performance, including load speed, mobile-friendliness, and Core Web Vitals.
• Work with developers to optimise website architecture and improve indexability.
4. Link Building and Off-Page SEO:
• Develop and execute a robust link-building strategy to acquire high-quality backlinks from authoritative websites.
• Monitor backlink profiles and manage disavow files as necessary to maintain a clean SEO footprint.
5. Analytics and Reporting:
• Use SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Ahrefs to monitor website traffic, rankings, and user behavior.
• Prepare regular reports highlighting campaign performance, insights, and recommendations for improvement.
6. Website Performance Monitoring:
• Continuously track and optimize site performance metrics, including page speed, mobile responsiveness, and usability.
• Ensure SEO strategies align with user experience (UX) goals and support overall business objectives.
7. Collaboration and Training:
• Work closely with marketing, development, and content teams to align SEO efforts with broader campaigns.
• Provide training and guidance on SEO best practices to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience:
• SEO Expertise: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SEO, including keyword research, on-page, off-page, and technical optimisation.
• Analytical Proficiency: Strong experience using SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar platforms.
• Content Strategy: Ability to plan and execute SEO-driven content strategies that align with organisational objectives.
• Technical Acumen: Knowledge of website architecture, Core Web Vitals, and resolving technical SEO issues.
• Link Building: Proven experience in creating high-quality backlinks and managing off-page SEO.
Educational Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
Additional Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with SEO trends, algorithms, and industry updates.
• Experience in the education sector is a plus.
