Legal HeadThe Legal Head serves as the company's chief legal and compliance authority, overseeing all aspects of corporate governance, contracts, IP, employment, and regulatory compliance. This role demands strong business acumen, a deep understanding of corporate laws, and the ability to partner effectively with leadership, investors, and external counsel to safeguard the company's interests while fostering growth.Leads all legal matters, including corporate governance, contracts, IP, employment, and regulatory compliance.Develops, reviews, and negotiates commercial agreements with clients, vendors, and partners.Advises leadership on strategic decisions, risk mitigation, and new regulatory developments.Manages corporate secretarial compliance (Board meetings, ROC filings, ESOPs, etc.).Liaises with external counsel for litigation, IP filings, due diligence, and M&A transactions.Maintains compliance frameworks under applicable laws such as Companies Act, IT Act, Labour laws, FEMA, and Data Protection norms.Supports fundraising and investment activities, including term sheets, SHA, and SSA negotiation.Develops internal policies on privacy, ethics, and anti-bribery.Requirements:LLB degree from a reputable university; CS qualification is a plus.8–10 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in startups or technology sectors. Minimum 2-4 years of experience in startups.Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and contract law.Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities.Ideal Profile:Hands-on, solution-oriented approach with attention to detail.Proven track record of partnering with business teams and leadership.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
