We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Product Manager to oversee the development, management, and lifecycle of our electric motor product lines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining product strategies, ensuring market competitiveness, and driving the growth of the product portfolio. This role requires strong technical knowledge of electric motors, customer-centric thinking, and excellent cross-functional leadership to deliver innovative and high-quality solutions to market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy and Roadmap:
- Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap for electric motors, aligned with company goals and market trends.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and gaps in the market.
- Prioritize product features, improvements, and innovations based on customer feedback, technological advancements, and market demand.
- Product Development and Lifecycle Management:
- Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and design teams to define product specifications and guide the development process from concept to launch.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation, development, testing, and product launch to eventual end-of-life.
- Ensure the timely delivery of new products and updates, maintaining focus on quality, cost, and time-to-market.
- Customer and Market Focus:
- Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring that customer needs and pain points are addressed in product development and enhancements.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies, sales enablement tools, and training materials.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and industry partners to gather feedback and enhance product offerings.
- Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, operations, and technical support, to align on product goals and ensure seamless execution.
- Provide product expertise to sales teams, assisting in customer presentations, technical documentation, and product demonstrations.
- Performance Monitoring and Improvement:
- Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success, including market share, profitability, customer satisfaction, and product quality.
- Continuously analyze product performance in the market, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes where necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or Masters in Electrical Engineering . A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in product management, preferably within the electric motor industry or a closely related field.
- Strong technical understanding of electric motors, including various types such as Induction motors, Universal motors, PMDC motors, BLDC motors, PMSM motors, etc…
- Experience in product lifecycle management, from concept to commercialization.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to synthesize market and customer data into actionable strategies.
- Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain considerations in the electric motor industry.
- Experience with international markets and knowledge of global standards and regulations for electric motors.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and market research software.
