Job OpportunityWe are seeking an accomplished Technical Project Manager to lead and coordinate a high-performing offshore squad of data engineering contractors for a higher education client.This role requires deep expertise with SQL, DBT, Python, Snowflake, AWS, and various Business Intelligence platforms.The candidate will manage multiple India-based squads, providing day-to-day guidance, coaching, and performance management.They will oversee onboarding and skill development for new team members, align squad priorities with U.S.-based data engineering leadership and product stakeholders, and serve as the primary liaison between offshore squads and U.S. teams.The Technical Project Manager will partner with U.S. data and analytics engineering leaders to translate business and analytical requirements into scalable, robust data solutions.Required Skills and Qualifications8+ years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related technical roles.4+ years of experience leading or managing distributed/global data engineering teams or squads.Hands-on expertise in SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DBT, Python, Cloud data platforms (Snowflake, AWS), Data modeling, ETL, data pipeline design, Business Intelligence and analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, GoodData), and Git, CI/CD practices.Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and experience running Agile ceremonies for data engineering teams.What We OfferOur ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical skills and leadership abilities, enabling them to drive strategic initiatives and deliver results-driven solutions.
