Enterprise API Management SpecialistWe are seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead the development and operation of our Enterprise AI API platform.The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft a scalable, secure, and robust API ecosystem using industry-leading technologies.This role encompasses the entire API lifecycle – from conception through deployment, monitoring, governance, and retirement.Design and implement APIs using IBM API Connect or equivalent platforms.Establish API governance policies: authentication/authorization, rate limits, quotas, versioning, and lifecycle management.Oversee the API gateway: routing, transformation, orchestration, protocol mediation (REST, SOAP, GraphQL), and traffic control.Configure and maintain the developer portal: publishing APIs, onboarding consumers, documentation, self-service subscription.Monitor API performance, latency, error metrics; analyze usage patterns and production issues.Ensure API security and resilience: secure back-end integrations, payload validation, threat mitigation, high-availability.Familiarity with AWS cloud services like API Gateway, S3, EKS is highly desirable.Stay up-to-date with API management best practices, emerging protocols (GraphQL, WebSockets), and evolving tool capabilities.
