Data Governance Expert Lead - A Key Position for Effective Data ManagementThe role of a Data Governance Functional Lead is crucial in driving enterprise-level data governance initiatives across multiple business domains. This position focuses on establishing governance frameworks, facilitating business workshops, and partnering with technology teams to operationalize governance using specialized tools and platforms.Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, and institutionalize data governance frameworks, policies, and processes across business units.Conduct business workshops with enterprise clients to define governance objectives, roles, and ownership models.Help set up and formalize the Data Governance Council, document charters, roles, responsibilities, and governance operating models.Collaborate with data engineering, architecture, and security teams to implement governance controls using platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog, and Informatica.Implement and monitor AI governance principles ensuring compliance, ethical AI use, and adherence to organizational policies.Understand diverse business domains to align governance frameworks with business priorities.Ensure all governance processes align with Microsoft Security and Compliance Frameworks, regulatory standards, and enterprise risk guidelines.What You'll Bring:Strong experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Information Governance within enterprise environments.Proven ability to conduct governance business workshops and translate outcomes into actionable governance models.Experience in establishing and operationalizing governance councils and defining data ownership structures.Hands-on exposure to governance tools and technologies such as Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog, and Informatica.Deep understanding of Microsoft's Security and Compliance Framework and its relevance to data governance.Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.Demonstrated experience working across multiple industries.Ability to bridge functional and technical aspects of governance and influence cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications:8–12 years of total experience with at least 4–5 years in Data Governance.Certifications in Data Governance, Data Management (DAMA, DCAM, CDMP), or Microsoft Data/AI certifications are an advantage.Experience working with cloud ecosystems, preferably Microsoft Azure.Excellent presentation and client engagement skills.At Delphi, We Offer:A competitive compensation package.Health benefits.Company-sponsored certifications, training programs, and skill-building opportunities.A remote work setup to ensure comfort and productivity.Team activities, wellness and mental health programs to ensure inclusivity and support.
