I. Hiring specifications Job Purpose: As a Perception Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the capabilities of our autonomous mobile robot systems. This role requires a deep understanding of computer vision, sensor fusion, and machine learning techniques to enable robots to perceive and navigate their environment effectively, as well as the ability to lead independent modules and mentor a team of engineers.Role Expectations: Define and drive the technical vision and strategy for mobile robot perception systems.Stay abreast of the latest advancements in computer vision, sensor technologies, and machine learning to guide the team in adopting state-of-the-art solutions.Design and develop perception algorithms for mobile robots, including but not limited to object detection, localization, mapping, and sensor fusion.Develop software for real-time processing of sensor data, including cameras, LIDAR, and other sensorsCollaborate with software and hardware teams to integrate perception algorithms into the overall robotic system.Conduct experiments to evaluate and improve the performance of perception systemsStay up to date with the latest research in perception and robotics, and apply new techniques to improve system performanceReporting structure:Role will report into Software Architect MRInteractions: Internal Stakeholders: HODs, Research/Sr. Research Engineers, technical leadsExternal Stakeholders: Customers/ClientsII. PEOPLE SPECIFICATIONS Profile: Ideally ~Bachelor's or Master's degree/PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field5+ years of experience in perception for robotics or related field, specially in visual SLAMRequisites: Exposure to software development of autonomous mobile robots with manufacturing and automation domain background.Competencies: Technical:Familiarity with control systems, sensors, and actuators.Experience with software development for robotic systems, including robot perception, navigation, and control.Strong programming skills in Python, C++, and ROS2Experience with computer vision algorithms, machine learning techniques, and sensor fusionExperience with real-time processing of sensor dataStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Preferred:Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence.Knowledge of industrial automation and manufacturing processes.Familiarity with safety regulations and standards related to robotics.
