Job Position: GCP Cloud Database Engineer

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Kolkata, IN

Experience: - 3-12 Years

Must Have: - GCP Cloud SQL; DataPro; Dataflow; Big Query, Big Table; Py Spark; Python.

Responsibilities:

Architecture Design:

  • Design and implement robust OLTP database architectures that support high availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and architecture designs.

Data Architecture:

  • Develop data models and schemas that optimize data storage and retrieval for transactional applications.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within the OLTP database environment.

RDBMS Management:

  • Oversee the implementation and management of RDBMS solutions, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues, implementing best practices for tuning and optimization.

Development and Scripting:

  • Write and maintain Python scripts for data manipulation, migration, and automation tasks.
  • Utilize Apache Spark with Python to process and analyze large datasets, enhancing data processing capabilities.

Cloud Integration:

  • Design and implement cloud-based database solutions to support OLTP applications, leveraging any cloud platform (AWS, GCP).
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate database deployments and manage infrastructure as code.

Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Lead technical discussions and provide guidance to development teams on best practices for database design and implementation.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between database architecture and application requirements.

Documentation and Standards:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of database architecture, designs, and procedures.
  • Establish and enforce architectural standards and best practices across the organization.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
