With a global workforce of over 80,000 professionals and a presence in more than 50 countries.CAD EngineerExperience: 8-12 YearsMode of Hire: Contract to HireWork Location: Pan IndiaNotice Period: Immediate - 15 DaysJob Description:3D Modeling EngineerThe 3D Modelling CAD Engineer is part of the Technical Services Team within the ChevronENGINE Center and will be responsible for creating and maintaining detailed 3D models offacilities equipment and systems This role involves using advanced CAD software to developaccurate and efficient models that support engineering design visualization and analysisThey will be responsible for delivery of 3D scans and models of petrochemical facilities forDigital Twin deployments across various assets Collaborate with consultants engineers andproject managers to ensure the quality and timely completion of projects Oversee AVEVA E3Dsetup and administration database management clash manager configuration reportcustomization MDS customization support modeling creation and management of userdefined attributes UDAs spooler setup and catalogue and specification building in a globalenvironmentKey ResponsibilitiesUse advanced techniques and tools to capture the accurate geometry and dimensionsof the assets and create realistic 3D models that can be used for design analysis andsimulation purposesAudit the quality of 3D models being delivered by 3rd party providers for correctness andadherence to company standardsGuide clients and stakeholders in specifying expectations to third parties for largescaleoutsourced 3D modelling efforts Clearly outline and communicate these expectationsfor inclusion in contract documents andor specificationsSupport Guide the design team for any issues all disciplinesCreate macros in Programmable Macro Language PML to automate simple tasks likeadding or updating UDAs extraction of NavisworksReview files etcConfigure projectspecific customizations using PMLPML IISet up the clash management and run clash reportsGenerate custom reports from the 3D model as per project requirementsIntegrate data from various sources and create intelligent asset visualizations for digitaltwinsProgrammatically upload attributes into 3D modelling software and extract data from 3Dmodelling software and compare them with other data sourcesDiagnose issues and deviations from standards in existing 3D models of oil and gasfacilities using AVEVA E3D software Use advanced techniques and tools to rectifyissues and update models to contain complete and accurate metadata attributesConfigure including troubleshooting and extract key deliverables like Material Take OffMTO piping isometrics equipment lists line lists weight reports etcPreparation of 3D modelling guidelines and specifications including lessons learnedacross assetsDatabase creation and administration including exporting importing cleanup andmerging databasesLoading and building catalogues and specificationsSetting up users and databases especially for collaboration between multiplecompanies Chevron and Engineering Procurement and Construction EPCcontractorsCreate new catalogues for the projects as per vendor data for piping equipmentstructural and electrical instrumentationManage E3DPDMS Global and E3DPDMS Extract Databases Coordinate with Systemslead in setting up global projectsCreate local backups of running projects as necessaryPreferred Qualification5 years of work experience as a 3D CAD Administrator and Designer with extensiveknowledge of plant layout piping design and piping materials Additionally knowledge of instrumentation mechanical systems HVAC electricalcomponents and civilstructural elements of plant operations is required
