Hyperbots transforms F&A functions using proprietary AI agents that can read structured and unstructured data, process invoices, match and reconcile them, manage accruals, validate taxes, check payment terms, and recommend GL codes for ERP posting with zero to minimal human intervention. Multiple specialized AI co-pilots operate on top of a finance-specific foundational architecture that enables superior intelligence in an F&A context (language, vision, reasoning, interpretation, recommendation, prediction, redaction, exception handling etc.)

Our customers include a NASDAQ-listed healthcare provider, a multi-geo media corporation, a mid-market medical supplies company, and an EV infrastructure company. We have integrated with major ERPs.

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our development team in building and scaling our agentic AI platform for finance and accounting co-pilots. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in AI systems with strong leadership skills and an understanding of financial domain challenges. This role requires balancing innovation with reliability as we develop autonomous agents that operate in high-stakes financial environments.

This is a full-time role meant for someone who believes in changing the landscape of Finance & Accounting through Agentic AI. 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in engineering management
  • Experience building AI-powered applications, particularly systems with autonomous capabilities
  • Strong background in backend development and distributed systems
  • Track record of successfully delivering complex software products
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and project management tools
  • Understanding of finance and accounting workflows and technology requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred

  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing engineering teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Strategic thinking balanced with hands-on problem-solving
  • Ability to recruit and retain technical talent in competitive markets
  • Experience managing complex technical projects with multiple dependencies

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional engineering team building our agentic AI platform for finance applications
  • Translate product vision into technical implementation plans and deliverable milestones
  • Establish engineering best practices for autonomous agent systems development
  • Balance technical innovation with stability and compliance requirements for financial software
  • Mentor team members and foster a culture of engineering excellence
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and technical debt across multiple workstreams
  • Participate in architecture decisions and technical direction setting
  • Communicate technical progress and concepts to non-technical stakeholders
