Position Overview
As the Senior Manager of Production (Sports), you will oversee the day-to-day management of
Production activities to ensure the smooth functioning of our organization. You will play a critical role
in coordinating logistics and optimizing processes to support the delivery of high-quality sports
events, team management and administrative functions. This role requires strong leadership,
organizational skills, and a deep understanding of sports and event Production to drive efficiency and
excellence in all areas of operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Planning: Develop and implement strategic operational plans and policies to
support the organization's mission, goals, and objectives. Collaborate with senior leadership to
define key priorities, resource requirements, and performance metrics for operational success.
2. Event Management: Lead the planning and execution of sports events, tournaments, and
competitions from conception to completion. Coordinate with event staff, volunteers, and external
partners to manage logistics, schedules, staffing, and participant services to deliver memorable and
successful events.
3. Logistics Coordination: Manage the logistics and transportation of events, athletes, teams,
and equipment for sports competitions, training camps, and travel arrangements. Coordinate with
transportation providers, hotels, and venues to ensure smooth and efficient operations during events
and away games.
4. Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and resource
allocations for operational activities. Monitor expenses, track spending, and identify cost-saving
opportunities to optimize financial performance and achieve budgetary goals.
5. Staff Supervision: Supervise and mentor operations staff, including coordinators,
administrators, and support personnel. Provide leadership, guidance, and training to effectively
develop their skills and capabilities in executing operational tasks and projects.
6. Event Conceptualization: Collaborate with the creative team to develop event concepts,
themes, and content.
7. Sub-Brand Strategy: Develop and implement strategies for each sub-brand, ensuring
alignment with the parent company's vision.
8. Brand Positioning: Maintain and enhance the reputation of each sub-brand through effective
production and event management.9. Cross-Promotion: Identify opportunities for cross-promotion between sub-brands, increasing
overall brand visibility.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's/Master’s degree in sports management, business administration, or related field.
Master’s degree preferred
2. Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in sports operations and event management, with a track
record of success in planning and executing sports events.
3. A candidate with strong event production experience will be preferred.
4. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve operational
excellence and deliver results.
5. Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks,
manage deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
6. Knowledge of sports industry trends, regulations, and best practices in operations, logistics,
and event management.
7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and
collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
8. Proficiency in MS Office suite especially MS Excel, event management software, and other
relevant tools and technologies.
9. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify issues, analyse data, and develop
creative solutions to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
