Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Azure APIM Specialist to design, implement, and manage API solutions using Azure API Management. The ideal candidate will ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing API integrations, while driving automation and governance across the API lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and manage Azure API Management (APIM) policies, developer portals, and complete API lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance API integrations.
- Automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot API performance with Azure monitoring tools.
- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory standards.
Required Skills & Expertise
API Management & Integration
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure API Management (API import/export, policy configuration, developer portal, versioning, revisions).
- Expertise in RESTful API design and OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.
Security & Governance
- Proficiency in OAuth2, JWT, API key management.
- Experience with Azure Key Vault and RBAC.
- Solid understanding of compliance and governance in cloud environments.
DevOps & Automation
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Familiarity with Terraform or Pulumi for Infrastructure as Code.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Hands-on expertise with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
- Ability to debug, optimize, and enhance API performance.
