Team Leader Strain Engineering

Key Responsibilities:Lead a team of scientists and associates in microbial strain development projects. Design, construct, and optimize microbial strains for improved production of target molecules.Apply advanced molecular biology techniques for genome engineering and pathway optimization. Develop strategies to enhance metabolic flux for improved yield and productivity.Utilize transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics data to identify bottlenecks and guide strain improvement.Work closely with protein engineering and downstream processing teams to achieve project goals. Qualification: Ph.D. in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or related field from a reputed University with excellent academic credentials, and peer-reviewed papers/ patents.Experience: Ph.D. with 6-8 yrs. of industrial experience with ≥2yrs. as team leader.Expertise in CRISPR/Cas systems, metabolic pathway optimization, and omics-based analysis. Familiarity with yeast strain engineering.Knowledge of bioinformatics tools for genome analysis and pathway optimization.Experience with project management and IBSC will be an added advantage.Functional Competencies: Scientific knowledge, Experimental skills, Documentation, Data reporting, analysis and interpretation.Behavioural Competencies: Drive for result, Clear communication, Safety/process adherence, Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.Industry to be hired from: Biotechnology, Biopharma, Agrochemical.Interested candidates are requested to share their resumes on shubhi.chandnani@piind.com
