**Union Payroll Accountant Needed**We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced remote accountant to support our client in processing wages and ensuring compliance with union agreements.About the Role:Manage and process payroll for union workers in compliance with California union regulations and agreements.Track, calculate, and reconcile union benefits, pension contributions, health insurance, and other deductions.Ensure adherence to prevailing wage laws, certified payroll reporting (Davis-Bacon Act), and California union labor laws.Process invoices related to labor costs, track payments to workers and benefits providers.Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in payroll-related accounts.Maintain payroll records, generate reports, and assist in audits related to union labor costs.Utilize QuickBooks, Yardi, or payroll software for accurate record-keeping and reporting.Requirements & Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.5+ years of experience in union payroll accounting, preferably for construction subcontractors in California.Strong understanding of union wage structures, benefits, and prevailing wage laws.Proficiency in QuickBooks, Yardi, or similar accounting software.Experience with certified payroll reporting (Davis-Bacon Act) and union benefits reconciliation.Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote setting.What We Offer:A challenging and rewarding role in a dynamic industry.
