DescriptionThis role involves working independently on coding tasks, debugging, and collaborating with other team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.Designing interactive reports and dashboards using PowerBI or leverage SSRS or Report BuilderWriting complex DAX expressions for custom measures and calculationsConfiguring scheduled data refresh and Power BI Gateways, Implementing Row Level SecurityPublishing and sharing content through Power BI ServiceConnecting to various data sources (SQL Server, Excel, APIs, etc.)Data extraction from relational databases and external sourcesCreate, modify and test various SQL queries, stored procedures and views for obtaining data from diverse source systems and platforms Design and develop new SQL/SSIS code as part of an ETL process to support report development on PowerBISupport multi-dimensional cube development using MDX in SSAS for select use cases or run existing assetsDevelop stored procedures functions using T-SQL/SQL to automate report refresh or data viewsExcellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally communicate with others, including situations where you may disagree with peopleResponsibilitiesSoftware Development: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for various applications.Debugging: Identify and fix bugs in existing software.Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.Collaboration: Work with other developers, designers, and product managers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.Testing: Develop and execute unit tests to ensure software functionality and reliability.Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for code and software features.Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices to continuously improve software development processesQualificationsBachelor's/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply8+ years in analytics (Preferably with Insurance)Must have experience in reporting tools like PBI,SSRS and good advance SQL skillsMust have experience in using ETL tools like SSIS or Azure etc.Good to have experience in MS Access, Excel, VBA, SSASGood critical thinking and problem solving skillsStrong record of achievement, solid analytical ability, and an entrepreneurial hands-on approach to workOutstanding written and verbal communication skills, and presentation skillsAble to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challengesIs able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe
