Job Purpose:

Civil Design Engineer at project sites to ensure solar project execution aligns with approved engineering designs, while also being capable of preparing and modifying designs at site when required. The role bridges Head Office (HO) Design Team and Site Execution Team, ensuring technical compliance, real-time design support, and smooth project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

•Review and interpret HO-issued drawings and designs for implementation at site.

•Prepare or modify civil designs/drawings at site when required (e.g., minor layout adjustments, drainage solutions, foundation modifications, road alignments).

•Perform structural calculations and basic engineering design for site-specific changes.

•Develop detailed civil/structural drawings using AutoCAD or other software.

•Verify ground conditions through site surveys and soil/level checks before finalizing designs.

•Ensure execution of foundations, trenches, drainage, boundary walls, and roads as per design.

•Issue design change notes/marked-up drawings and coordinate approval with HO.

•Prepare and update as-built drawings for all civil works executed at site.

•Support quality team by validating reinforcement, concrete mix, and other design parameters.

•Coordinate with electrical/mechanical teams to resolve interdisciplinary design issues.

•Manage ground levels for difficult civil works at site

•Provide alternate technical solutions in line with design requirements.

Qualification & Experience/ Skills Requirements:

•Proficiency in civil/structural design and drafting tools (AutoCAD, STAAD, etc.).

•Strong understanding of foundation, drainage, and structural design principles.

•Knowledge of solar project-specific civil works (MMS foundations, inverter rooms, roads).

•Ability to create quick design solutions at site while adhering to codes and safety norms.

•Excellent communication and coordination skills with HO and site teams.

•Problem-solving mindset for on-ground engineering challenges.

•B.E./B.tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory).

•5–8 years of experience in civil design and site execution (solar/renewable/industrial projects preferred).

•Hands-on experience in AutoCAD/structural design software is required.

•Familiarity with IS codes and solar industry standards will be an advantage
