Senior Software Engineer (C/C++)Hyderabad (Flexible)Experience - 5+ YearsWhat You'll DoAs a Senior Software Engineer will become a member of a key project in Teradata's High Availability offering. This organization is responsible for working with the Teradata Dual Active leadership in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining database virtualization products for the Teradata Unity/BCM program. The successful candidate will work as a contributing member of the Teradata's Unity/BCM team. The Senior Developer role includes Requirement analysis, design, develop and test and maintenance of new and existing features and all related technologies and required environments to ensure a successful product development lifecycle and delivery. This candidate, as time permits and as appropriate may also assist with product support. The engineer must be well versed in working in and contributing to a fully agile automated development and testing process. This is an individual contributor position reporting to an Engineering Manager.Who You'll work withWorks with project team members and architects and reports to Engineering ManagerWhat Makes You a Qualified CandidateBachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or similar technical discipline with 5 to 8 years of working experience as Software DeveloperExperience with large-scale, enterprise grade software development in C/C++.Strong data structure, multi-threading and algorithms fundamentalsVery good with any cloud development experienceKnowledge of SQL and and understanding of relational databaseStrong background in database internals and/or analytics through academic or working exposureKnowledge of High Availability concepts and techniquesMulti cloud platforms exposureWhat You'll BringCreating strategies for enhancing the performance of existing cloud technologyMaintaining applications and infrastructure for cloud-based platformsAnalysing current systems to find flaws that can jeopardise cloud securityUnderstanding of cloud enablement features that are required to be developed for Teradata softwareDesign, develop, code, test & debug system softwareGood analytical and logical skills.Strong troubleshooting & debugging skills on LinuxSound software engineering principlesExposure to storage, filesystems will be advantageWorking knowledge or exposure cloud technologies would be an added advantageSelf-motivated and self-organizing individual, with a high capacity for rapid learning and having meticulous attention to detailStrong written and oral communication skillsEffective team player and experienced in software development life cycle.Use of Agile methodologies and tools will be an advantageTechnical support to customers or customers facing personnelProficiency in AI concepts and tools, including practical experience in integrating AI-driven solutions or leveraging AI frameworks for software development.Knowledge of QA automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, or similar), including understanding how automated test scripts are written and integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
