We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full-Stack Developer to work with our development team to build software solutions that align with our mission and vision. You will be involved in all aspects of the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, integrating front-end elements with back-end services, and ensuring data integrity and security. 


Key Responsibility


This is a full-time on-site role for a Full-Stack Developer at Celestial BI in Bengaluru. The Full-Stack Developer will be responsible for both front-end and back-end web development, software development, and CSS styling to enhance the user experience and functionality of our software solutions.


Development: 

  • Design and develop responsive web applications using modern front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular). 
  • Develop a cross-platform mobile application for patients (using technologies like React Native, Flutter, or native development). 
  • Implement server-side logic, database management, and ensure seamless integration between web and mobile platforms. 


HIPAA Compliance & Security: 

  • Ensure all development practices adhere to HIPAA regulations for handling Protected Health Information (PHI). 
  • Implement robust security measures including encryption, secure data transmission, and proper access controls. 
  • Maintain audit logs and ensure data integrity across both platforms. 


System Architecture: 

  • Contribute to the architecture and design efforts to create scalable, maintainable, and efficient systems. 
  • Work with microservices or monolithic architectures based on project needs. 


Collaboration: 

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, QA, legal, and compliance etc. 
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and contribute to agile development processes. 


DevOps & Deployment: 

  • Manage and optimize the deployment process using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS services. 
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Manage the deployment of updates to both web and mobile applications, using CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Manage cloud services or on-premise solutions ensuring high availability and performance. 


Testing & Maintenance: 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans for both platforms, including automated and manual testing. 
  • Write comprehensive tests for all developed features, ensuring high code quality and functionality. 
  • Address bugs and performance issues, ensuring the application's reliability. 
  • Maintain applications post-launch, addressing bugs, and implementing new features based on feedback. 


Documentation & Training: 

  • Document development processes, code, APIs, architecture, and standard components. 
  • Participate in or provide training on security practices related to HIPAA. 


Key Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • Proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer or similar role. 
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3. 
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model. 
  • Experience with one or more front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js, etc.) and back-end languages (Node.js, Python, Java, etc.). 
  • Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL. 
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and API communication protocols. 
  • Understanding of or direct experience with HIPAA compliance in software development is highly desirable. 
  • Good understanding of security principles and how they apply to healthcare data. 
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). 
  • Experience with BI tools and data analytics is a plus


Nice to Have: 


  • Experience with healthcare industry software or health tech startups. 
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and workflows. 
  • Certification in any cybersecurity or HIPAA training.
