Job OverviewThe Construction Accounting Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial accounting functions within our organization. This position requires a deep understanding of construction accounting principles, financial management, and compliance.Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.Prepare and analyse monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Coordinate and facilitate the construction draw process, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of funds for construction activities.Manage the yearly audit and tax compliance process, including ensuring all information is complete, accurate, and available for the tax preparers and auditors.Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.Ensure control over actual expenses versus budget and participate in cash management and forecasting.Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process.Oversee the use of Yardi, the Company's Property and Accounting software.Should have knowledge of preparing project profitability reports and percentage of completion method of accounting.Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.Continuously assess accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementation of new processes, policies, and procedures.Requirements:CA/CPA with 8-10 years of experience in the real estate/construction industry.Highly organized with strong attention to detail and quality of deliverables.Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.Must have excellent work ethic, high integrity, and excellent follow-up skills.Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills in decision making.Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.Demonstrated leadership and management skills.Superior ability to track and meet deadlines, focused on overcoming obstacles.High level of computer skills, including extensive experience with Yardi, Procore, or similar real estate accounting systems.Ability to take initiative and manage teams effectively.
