We're seeking an accomplished Lead Security Expert to join our AppScan Product team. With a strong background in application security, you'll play a pivotal role in discovering new vulnerabilities and developing automated detection procedures.This leadership position demands exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to identify false positives and negatives in source code. Your expertise will be crucial in providing security guidance for our products across various programming languages and frameworks.Key responsibilities include:Discovering new vulnerabilities in application source codeDeveloping automatic vulnerability detection proceduresFamiliarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C/C++, .NET) and multiple operating systems/RDBMSProviding security guidance for our products across new programming languages and frameworksInnovating and improving the security logic of AppScan productsCollaborating with AppScan Research Lab teamsAnalysing AppSec results and identifying false positivesPrioritizing high-priority issues based on severity and likelihood of exploitDesired skills and qualifications:Experience with Static Analysis (SAST) tools and triaging application security resultsProficiency in security remediation techniques and secure coding best practicesExpertise with security standards like OWASP Top 10 and CWE/SANS Top 25Ability to articulate security threats to developers or auditorsAbility to identify and provide examples of false positives and negatives in source codeExperience with multiple operating systems and software attack/exploitation techniquesAdditional benefits:Opportunity to innovate and improve the security logic of AppScan productsCollaboration with cross-functional teamsPromoting a culture of security awareness within the organizationEducation and certifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentRelevant certifications (e.g., OSWP, OSCP)
