Job opening for the Senior Database Architect with Fintech Company at Bangalore.


Job Role: Senior Database Architect


Job Location: Bangalore


Working Days: 5 Days


Work Mode: Work From Office


Required Experience: 5+ years


Job Roles & Responsibilities:


1. Database Architecture & Design:


Create and execute scalable database architectures that guarantee the best possible data organization, storage, and retrieval.


Construct comprehensive conceptual, logical, and physical data models to assist with business procedures and analytical requirements.


Create best practices, standards, and recommendations for databases


2. Performance Optimization:


Examine database performance indicators and enhance storage, queries, and indexes.


Provide and put into practice suggestions for enhancing database capacity planning and performance.


Keep an eye on and proactively troubleshoot performance concerns.


3. Performance Optimization:


Examine database performance indicators and enhance storage, queries, and indexes.


Provide and put into practice suggestions for enhancing database capacity planning and performance.


Keep an eye on and proactively troubleshoot performance concerns.


4. Technology Innovation & Evaluation:


Assess new database technologies and suggest suitable instruments.


Take the lead in projects to update outdated database systems and, when appropriate, switch to cloud-based solutions.


5.Documentation & Training:


Maintain thorough documentation of database designs, configurations, and operational processes.


Provide guidance and training to development and operations teams on database usage and best practices



Desired Qualifications:


● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

● Proven experience as a Database Architect, Database Administrator, or similar role.

● Expertise in relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).

● Strong knowledge of database modeling, indexing, partitioning, and optimization techniques.

● Experience with cloud-based database solutions (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google BigQuery, etc.).

● Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend).

● Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.).

● Knowledge of security protocols and data privacy regulations.


Preferred Qualifications:


● Certifications such as Oracle Database Administrator or AWS Certified Database – Specialty.

● Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) and analytics platforms.

● Understanding of CI/CD processes and DevOps in database contexts.
