Financial AnalystDescription -Overview:The HP Asset Recovery team delivers strategic financial advisory, risk assessment, compliance, and process optimization services to drive bottom-line savings. With deep Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash expertise, we leverage data analytics and process intelligence to identify financial leakages and improve operational efficiency.Roles & Responsibilities:Solid understanding of Unclaimed Property laws and compliance requirements across states and jurisdictions.Understanding that non-compliance can lead to misleading financial statements, increased audit risk, penalties, and litigation.Lead and support recovery review engagements across Procure to Pay (P2P) and Order to Cash (O2C) functions, focusing on identifying gaps, erroneous payments, and unclaimed property (UCP) opportunities.Perform due diligence, financial analysis, audit trail documentation, and gap identification for recovery and compliance purposes.Maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships; provide insights, root cause analysis, and recovery plans.Collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of review processes.Mentor junior team members and support their development through coaching and knowledge sharing.Ensure strict adherence to HP's ethics, policies, and regulatory requirements.Skills & Requirements:Proficiency in recovery audits, financial reconciliation, and cost-saving initiatives.Solid understanding of Unclaimed Property laws and compliance requirements across states and jurisdictions.In-depth knowledge of P2P, O2C, Contra, and Procurement processes.Strong business acumen and problem-solving mindset.Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint; working knowledge of SAP S4 HANA is a plus.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Agile, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related fields.Minimum 7+ years of work experience; at least 4 years in accounting, audit, or financial compliance.Impact & Scope• Impacts multiple departments and leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects.Complexity• Works on assignments that are highly complex in nature where a strong degree of initiative and technical knowledge are required to resolve problems.Disclaimer• This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this role.
