We're seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer to join our team and drive the design, architecture, and scalability of our global learning platform's backend systems. About the Role This is a key position that requires a seasoned engineer to own major modules, contribute to engineering culture, and drive technical direction. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on complex backend services using Node.js/TypeScript (Express.js/NestJS), build robust APIs and microservices, and design efficient SQL & NoSQL data models for optimal performance and scalability. Key Responsibilities: Designing and architecting scalable backend services using Node.js/TypeScript (Express.js/NestJS). Building robust APIs and microservices, including caching layers, background job workers, and distributed components. Developing efficient SQL & NoSQL data models for optimal performance and scalability. Owning system design for major modules, from requirement analysis through production deployment. Maintaining system performance, reliability, observability, and security compliance across the platform. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ship high-impact features quickly and reliably. Requirements: 4+ years of backend development experience with deep expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js/NestJS. Strong command over API design, microservices architecture, distributed systems, and modular backend frameworks. Practical experience with both SQL and NoSQL systems. Built or maintained scalable production-grade systems with real user traffic. Possesses exceptional debugging, problem-solving, and architectural thinking skills.
