The following position is available in the Information Center (IZ) at Albstadt-Sigmaringen University of Applied Sciences

Head of the Information Center (f/m/d) Permanent - scope of employment up to 100%

The Information Center (IZ) is a central operating unit and supports university members by operating central information technology (IT) services and systems as well as providing literature and other information media. The IZ consists of the IT department and the library and is organized on a cross-location basis. The head of the Information Center is also the head of the IT department.

Your tasks
  • Management of the information center
  • Conception and development of the strategic and operational orientation of the Information Center
  • Strategic further development of the cross-location infrastructure
  • Investment and financial planning as well as financial responsibility for the information center
  • Development of standards, guidelines and user regulations
  • Internal and external communication
  • Collaboration with information centers at other universities and external service providers
  • Planning and coordinating the procurement of central IT equipment with license management
  • Coordination of IT data protection and IT security with the respective officers
Your profile
  • Completed studies with an IT-related degree that entitles you to a doctorate
  • Particularly high level of organizational skills, independence and flexibility
  • Above-average commitment and sense of responsibility
  • Cooperative management and working style with strong communication and team skills as well as service orientation
  • Leadership experience and competence
  • Sound knowledge of IT infrastructure topics
  • Good communication skills in German and English
  • Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM is an advantage

The position is generally divisible. The salary is paid in accordance with the collective agreement of the federal states (TV-L) and is possible up to salary group 14 TV-L if the personal requirements are met.
