Job purpose
The IT Engineering ECAD (Electronic Computer-Aided Design) Analyst role, you will be responsible to support the organization’s electronic design and development processes by providing technical expertise in ECAD tools. It will work closely with engineering teams, project managers and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and accurate electronic design, documentation, and collaboration.
Key responsibilities
- Own, manage and maintain ECAD tools and software, such as Mentor Graphics, Synopsis Saber or LT spice.
- Provide support for installation, configuration and correct usage for users.
- Ensure they are up to data and properly integrated with other engineering systems.
- Work with internal stakeholders to align technology opportunities and solutions with business strategy
- Liaise with the business to ensure that the technology strategy and IT roadmaps aligns with the ECAD strategy
- Determine the effect of solution alternatives on IT costs and formulate an advice with regard to the decision to be taken
- Introduce solutions for new ECAD technology programs in line with the IT technology strategy
- Analyze IT development proposals and translates them to the effect on the solution architecture, data collection and interfaces, and assess technical feasibility
- In collaboration with Internal Buyer collaborate with ECAD tool vendors to stay updated on new features, software updates, and licensing requirements. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate new tools or technologies that may improve the ECAD process.
- Collaborate closely and in line with corporate Enterprise Architecture and IT Security and Compliance policies and guidelines, as part of the global architecture community
- Continuously evaluate and enhance the ECAD process by implementing best practices, standardizing workflows, and identifying opportunities for automation or efficiency gains. Recommend and implement improvements to increase productivity and quality in electronic design and development.
- Develop a complete understand (baseline) of the ECAD current operating environment
- Meet with key IT and Business Stakeholders to identify and document current issues, operational gaps, key initiatives and vision/direction for continuous improvement.
- Define, set-up and maintain policies, rules, principles and guidelines for Electronic design Global Solution Delivery.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3 years’ experience managing ECAD Development and Electrical Design, Simulation and Testing.
- Strong experience of managing IT applications including application development, customization and support services in a multi-vendor environment.
- Extensive conceptual and technical landscape knowledge and experience in IT applications, data, infrastructure, security and tools.
- Experience of financial management, including supplier and commercial management.
- Experience working in an outsourced multivendor environment.
- Fluent English- written and verbal.
