Senior Backend Software Engineer

We're seeking a highly skilled Node.js Developer to join our team. As a key member of the development team, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing the core workflow execution engine, node framework, and integration architecture.**Job Description:**We are building a next-generation AI First CRM workflow automation platform — enabling users to visually create, orchestrate, and execute workflows connecting APIs, data sources, and AI models.As a Senior Node.js Developer, your primary responsibilities will include:Designing and implementing backend components for a visual workflow automation platform using Node.js and TypeScript.Developing the workflow runtime engine — capable of sequential, parallel, conditional, and human-in-loop execution.Building a modular node/plugin architecture (like n8n nodes) for API connectors, data operations, and logic functions.Implementing a secure sandbox for executing user-defined code/functions.Developing RESTful APIs and WebSocket interfaces for the workflow editor (frontend).Integrating with databases (MongoDB/Postgres) and managing workflow persistence and execution logs.Working with Redis / BullMQ (or similar) for distributed workflow execution and queue management.Ensuring high performance, fault tolerance, and scalability across multi-tenant environments.**Required Skills and Qualifications:**To succeed in this role, you should have:A strong understanding of Node.js & TypeScript — deep knowledge of async/await, streams, events, and error handling.Experience with Express.js / Fastify for backend API development.A strong understanding of workflow orchestration concepts — DAGs, triggers, and execution contexts.Familiarity with Redis / BullMQ / RabbitMQ / Kafka for distributed task management.Good understanding of sandboxing techniques (vm, isolated process execution, or containers).Experience designing plugin systems / dynamic module loading (custom nodes or extensions).Knowledge of Webhooks, Schedulers, API Integrations (REST, OAuth2, WebSocket, etc.).Experience with Docker / containerization for deployment and scaling.Experience in AWS Lamda, AWS EKS cluster deployment.**Benefits:**This role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and make a significant impact on the company's success.
