Our client is a fast-growing SME with a consolidated revenue of approximately INR 50 Cr, operating across India, Singapore, and the USA through two international subsidiaries. The company specializes in delivering cutting-edge Information Technology-enabled solutions and offers robust IT manpower support services to a global clientele. With a vision to scale further, the company is actively exploring the path to an IPO, making this a pivotal time to join its journey. As part of strengthening its financial leadership, the company is looking to onboard a Finance Manager who will oversee end-to-end accounting and book closure activities across all three geographies.

This is a high-impact role that demands a strong foundation in accounting and international financial reporting. While the role is permanent in nature, it will begin as a contractual position for a minimum of one year, with a planned transition to the company's payroll thereafter.

Job Description

  • Plan, implement, and oversee the overall accounting strategy and day-to-day finance operations of the Company.
  • Manage core accounting functions including general ledger, payroll, utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Handle reconciliations related to capital assets, trust accounts, check runs, fixed asset activity, and debt activity.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to generate timely and accurate financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, policies, and procedures while maintaining a deep understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
  • Drive timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closures as per company expectations.
  • Assist the Controller/CFO with daily banking requirements, including accurate processing of positive pay transactions.
  • Collaborate with entire finance team and management to align with departmental and organizational goals.
  • Continuously assess and improve processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and use of resources within the department.
  • Train and advise team members on handling routine financial reporting and transactions.
  • Design and implement MIS reporting formats, deliver standalone and consolidated reports to management on a monthly basis.
  • Address queries from the Director of Finance / Controller and other stakeholders related to financial results or ad hoc reporting needs.
  • Supervise the general ledger team to ensure timely compliance with all financial reporting deadlines.
  • Support the development and implementation of new accounting procedures and departmental workflows.
  • Work on special projects and initiatives aimed at process improvement and system optimization.
  • Serve as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) for bookkeeping on Zoho and Tally platforms.

Qualifications and Experience

  • CA / CMA / ICWA qualified with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), or semi-qualified professionals with 8 - 9 years of relevant combined experience (including training).
  • Proven experience in overseeing accounting operations and managing general ledger processes across multiple entities.
  • Solid understanding of Income Tax and GST provisions, with practical application to day-to-day transactions.
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written, with the ability to engage confidently across teams and with leadership.
  • Proactive, smart, and self-motivated professional with a positive "can-do" attitude.
  • Hands-on experience with ZOHO and Tally is essential.
  • Zoho certification required.
  • Comfortable and efficient in using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini) for productivity enhancement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
