Senior Automation Test EngineerWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Finacle automation using Selenium Java, supported by solid experience in JavaScript- and TypeScript-based automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing robust automation solutions, improving test coverage, and ensuring delivery quality across complex, distributed systems. Experience with modern tools such as Playwright is an added advantage. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive technical excellence in an Agile environment.Mandatory Skills:• Finacle + Selenium Java Automation (must-have)• Minimum 5 years of experience in JavaScript with a strong focus on automation testing• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with TypeScript• Strong experience with automation tools: – Playwright – Cucumber – Appium – Selenium• Good to have: Playwright + TypeScript experienceEducation:• Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent industry experience)Technical Skills:• Proven expertise in developing and testing scalable, highly available RESTful APIs and microservices using JavaScript technologies• Ability to create end-to-end automation test suites using Playwright/Selenium, preferably following the BDD approach• Practical experience with GraphQL• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and troubleshooting distributed systems• Working knowledge of containerisation using Docker and Kubernetes• Exposure to API Gateway integrations (e.g., 3Scale)• Understanding of Single Sign-On (SSO) and token-based authentication (REST, JWT, OAuth)• Experience with task/message queues such as AWS SQS, Azure Service Bus, Pushpin, or KafkaFunctional Skills:• Adheres to best practices in coding, unit testing, security, and documentation• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development frameworks• Strong capability to research and benchmark tools and technologies against industry standardsSoft Skills:• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and guide technical decisions• A self-driven individual who takes full ownership of outcomes• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present to senior stakeholders
