Together, we're pioneering the future of science and medicine, developing products that enable researchers in the fight to save lives.Field Service EngineerThe Service Associate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and technical support of Leica Surgical Operating Microscopes (SOM) across various clinical and research applications. This includes Neurosurgery, ENT, Dental, Ophthalmology, and any other microsurgery procedures. The role involves pre- and post-sales demonstrations, customer training, and driving service revenue through AMC/CMC contracts, spare parts, and upgrades.Associate reports to the Regional Service Manager.Your Responsibilities Install and calibrate Surgical Operating Microscopes at hospitals, medical colleges, and research institutionsProvide post-installation support including live surgical assistance and user trainingAttend breakdown calls and perform preventive maintenanceConduct pre- and post-sales demos to support business developmentDrive service revenue through AMC/CMC renewals, spare parts, and upgradesMaintain service documentation and customer recordsCoordinate with service managers and regional teams for efficient coverageSupport installations and service calls in neighboring states and occasionally in East, North, and West IndiaEducational Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or Electronics & TelecommunicationTechnical Proficiency:Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and online service call logging platformsBasic understanding of Microsoft 365 applications such as PowerPoint, OneNote, and Teams for internal collaboration and reportingFamiliarity with email writing etiquette, including clear subject lines, structured content, professional tone, and timely responsesPreferred Professional Experience:3 to 5 years of practical experience in installing and servicing surgical microscopes or other microsurgery related hospital equipment.Exposure to clinical applications such as Neurosurgery, plastic, ENT and OphthalmologyFamiliarity with life science or clinical research environments involving integration of digital cameras, PCs, monitors, and recording systemsLanguage Skills:Proficiency in English is essentialModerate to fluent communication skills in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu are preferredAre you interested to discover new opportunities in an innovative, team-oriented environment?
