As a mid-level position within our growing team of experts distributed across multiple countries, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside established team members.Our team is responsible for the Fintech Platform - a strategic internal platform initiative passionate about standardizing and implementing Kubernetes at scale, along with other critical infrastructure products. This platform plays a vital role in modernizing Nasdaq's technical infrastructure and improving development efficiency across the Fintech organization. Role Responsibilities - In this role, you'll be primarily passionate about the migration of existing applications to Kubernetes and establishing robust observability practices, including:Converting current application deployments to Kubernetes-native solutionsDeveloping and implementing Helm charts for containerized applicationsMaintaining and modernizing existing Ansible infrastructure during the transitionImplementing and managing observability solutions using DataDog, ensuring comprehensive monitoring and alerting across our infrastructureApplying GitOps principles for infrastructure and application deploymentFollowing SRE standard processes to maintain system reliability and optimize performanceAdvising development teams on containerization requirements and Kubernetes standardsCollaborating across multiple teams and time zones globallyThis position offers an outstanding opportunity to drive Nasdaq's infrastructure modernization efforts while working with cutting-edge container orchestration technologies and modern observability practices.We expect you to have:At least 5-8 years of Devops Experience.Hands-on experience with Kubernetes cluster management and operationsProven ability to build and implement Kubernetes deployments and Helm chartsSolid understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Familiarity with observability tools, particularly DataDogUnderstanding of GitOps principles and basic SRE conceptsExperience with infrastructure as code tools like TerraformStrong Ansible automation and configuration management skillsStrong Linux system administration fundamentalsUnderstanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPNs, HTTP(S))Experience with CI/CD pipelinesGood problem-solving skills and attention to detailGood communication and coteamworkkillsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information technology or similar qualificationIt would be excellent if you have:Experience designing custom Kubernetes operators or controllersAdvanced Ansible roles and playbook development experienceFamiliarity with service mesh conceptsBasic understanding of Java applicationsExperience working in an agile environmentKnowledge of basic security practices for cloud environmentsInterest in learning about multi-cluster environmentsExperience working with development teamsPrior exposure to financial services industryCome as You AreNasdaq is an equal opportunity employer.
