Job Title: Data Governance Strategic LeadData governance plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity and quality of organizational data. As a Data Governance Strategic Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data governance frameworks across multiple business domains. Your goal will be to establish effective governance models that ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory standards.Your key responsibilities will include leading cross-functional teams to design and implement data governance policies and procedures, conducting workshops with business stakeholders to define governance objectives and roles, establishing governance councils to formalize charters and operating models, collaborating with technical teams to implement governance controls using specialized tools and platforms, driving AI governance practices to ensure compliance and ethical use of AI technologies, and aligning governance frameworks with business priorities.To succeed in this role, you will need strong experience in data governance, data management, or information governance within enterprise environments, proven ability to conduct governance business workshops and translate outcomes into actionable governance models, experience in establishing and operationalizing governance councils and defining data ownership structures, hands-on exposure to governance tools and technologies such as Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog, and Informatica, deep understanding of Microsoft's Security and Compliance Framework and its relevance to data governance, strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills, demonstrated experience working across multiple industries, and ability to bridge functional and technical aspects of governance and influence cross-functional teams.Preferred qualifications include 8-12 years of total experience with at least 4-5 years in data governance, certifications in data governance, data management (DAMA, DCAM, CDMP), or Microsoft data/AI certifications, experience working with cloud ecosystems, preferably Microsoft Azure, excellent presentation and client engagement skills, and a deep understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts.
