System Infrastructure Specialist Job OverviewAbout the Role:We are seeking an experienced System Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in maintaining and optimizing Gateway/Kannel/SMPP setup.The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking and maintaining VF-Services QOS, backups and uptimes to ensure the highest levels of system and infrastructure availability.This role involves working on tickets and providing timely resolution within Service Level Agreements (SLA).The ideal candidate will have experience in managing timelines, product releases, and tracking bugs with engineering teams using Jira.Strong integration skills with telecom operators for SMPP account/connectivity are essential.Daily tasks include configuration, queries, and administration of MySQL and other Linux utilities.Troubleshooting SMPP/operator-related and customer issues such as junk char issue, no/fake delivery of message, drop message, TPS testing, understanding of submit-sm and deliver-sm responses, account/connection type is also a critical aspect of this role.Frequent interaction with domestic and international telecom operators for issue resolution is required.Automation of tasks using scripts to minimize human intervention time is expected.Conducting sessions on new releases and knowledge transfer with internal teams is an additional responsibility.Tracking work and creating FAQs and service documents for documentation purposes is necessary.Overseeing preparation of environments for software releases, participating in planning, scheduling, and execution, followed by automation, is a key part of this job.Key Responsibilities:Deployment, maintenance, and optimization of Gateway/Kannel/SMPP setup.Tracking and maintenance of VF-Services QOS, backups and uptimes.Work on tickets and provide resolution within SLA.Manage timelines, product releases, and track bugs with engineering teams.Integration with telecom operators for SMPP account/connectivity.Configuration, queries, and administration of MySQL and Linux utilities.Troubleshoot SMPP/operator-related and customer issues.Automation of tasks using scripts.Conduct sessions on new releases and KT with internal teams.Track work and create FAQs/service documents.Oversee preparation of environments for software releases.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.At least 5 years of experience in system infrastructure maintenance.Proficiency in Linux, MySQL, and scripting languages.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Experience with Jira and version control systems.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.Collaborative and dynamic work environment.Opportunities for growth and advancement.
