We are seeking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop precision mechanisms for NPD Projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of designing intricate mechanical systems, ensuring high precision and functional reliability

 

Responsibilities

1.    Design and develop high-precision mechanical mechanisms for NPD Projects.

2.    Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, product management, and manufacturing to translate requirements into innovative designs.

3.    Use CAD tools to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and drawings for production.

4.    Performing computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine the designs.

5.    Prototype, test, and refine designs to meet product functionality.

6.    Perform tolerance analysis and ensure manufacturability of designed components.

7.    Document the design process, including mechanical calculations, material selections, and risk analysis.

8.    Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements (such as FDA and ISO standards) and other compliance testing.

9.    Maintain comprehensive design documentation, including design history, technical specifications, and risk assessments


Qualifications

Required Skills:

1.    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

2.    2+ years of experience in mechanism design/Mechanical system design.

3.    Proficiency in CAD and Simulation Software (SolidWorks & Ansys Preferred).

4.    Proficiency in GD&T is must.

5.    Strong understanding of kinematics, gear systems, linkages, and motion control in

mechanical designs.

6.    Experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems.

7.    Design, simulate, and test complex articulation mechanisms within endoscopic and laparoscopic devices to enhance functionality, precision, and usability in surgical applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

o Hands-on experience in designing mechanisms for complex mechanical system.

o Experience with additive manufacturing, CNC machining, and other precision manufacturing methods.

o Strong knowledge of material science, particularly in relation to biocompatibility and durability in medical environments.

o Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

o Experience with endoscopy or urology surgery devices.

o Knowledge of optical design (Opto-mechanical) integration within medical devices.

o Prior experience in a product development team for FDA or CE-compliant devices.
