Lead Backend Architect

We're seeking a skilled Lead Backend Engineer to join our team and drive the development of our AI-powered backend platform.The ideal candidate will have experience with Java and Spring Boot, as well as strong expertise in system design, microservices, and cloud infrastructure. They should be able to collaborate closely with AI/ML engineers to integrate LLMs, TTS/STT, RAG patterns, and inference layers into the backend. Additionally, they should be familiar with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and message queues like AWS SQS/SNS, Kafka or RabbitMQ.ResponsibilitiesOwn and evolve the architecture of our backend platform, built on Java and Spring BootDrive system design for scalable, secure, and low-latency AI-integrated servicesCollaborate closely with AI/ML engineers to integrate LLMs, TTS/STT, RAG patterns, and inference layers into the backendLead development of RESTful APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and backend orchestrationRequirements4-6 years of backend development experience in high growth startups especially in B2B space and AI first environments with Java (17+) and Spring BootDeep expertise in system design, microservices, event-driven architectures, and distributed systemsStrong experience in cloud infrastructure – AWS (preferred), Azure or GCP also welcomeExperience working with AI teams or AI/ML product integrationsFamiliarity with integrating TTS/STT APIs, LLM endpoints, or asynchronous inference layersProficient in working with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and message queues like AWS SQS/SNS, Kafka or RabbitMQStrong understanding of security, scalability, and performance tuningBenefitsA chance to build critical backend infrastructure for a fast-growing AI productWork alongside AI researchers, product visionaries, and experienced foundersA fast-paced, no-hierarchy culture focused on impact, not processOur CultureWe value insane focus on excellence, absolute ownership, unquestionable teamwork, and impeccable qualityAs a Lead Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our AI-powered backend platform.
