Backend Developer JobHDFC Securities is a leading stock broking company in India and a subsidiary of HDFC Bank.The company offers an exhaustive product suite to help its customers invest in various financial products. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for building and deploying backend applications from scratch.You will interact with stakeholders to understand requirements, analyze impact of changes, come up with reasonable timelines, and execute the tasks accordingly.Key responsibilities include:Building and deploying backend applications from scratchInteracting with stakeholders to understand requirementsAnalyzing impact of changes and coming up with reasonable timelinesExecuting tasks accordinglyPlanning and executing extensive load testing for servicesCreating an execution plan for the team to iterate based on load test findingsUnderstanding and analyzing existing systems to identify improvements and performance/maintenance issuesFixing or rebuilding existing systems to ensure resilienceWriting extensive test cases in a way that systems can be easily modified in future with confidence and without ambiguityBuilding ETL pipelines to collect data in a data lake and using the data lake to power BI and generate reportsRequired skills and experience include:3-5 years of hands-on experience in Backend technologiesExperience in at least one of Java, Elixir, or GolangExperience with debugging and solving issues in a cloud environmentExperience with PostgreSQL or similar databaseExperience with NoSQL databasesDeep understanding of technology and architecture in a highly scalable and available environmentExperience with open-source technologies such as Elasticsearch, Redis, Kafka etc. and their adoption into products
