Come join us in shaping the future of healthcare.About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Inpatient Medical Coder to join our India-based coding team.The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in ICD-10-PCS, DRG assignment, and facility-based emergency department (ED) coding.If you're someone who thrives in high-quality, detail-oriented environments and has the drive to consistently deliver accurate and compliant coding, we'd love to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately assign ICD-10-PCS and DRG codes for inpatient and ED facility recordsEnsure all coding is compliant with applicable regulations and payer-specific guidelinesCollaborate with the India and onshore teams to resolve coding queries and ensure timely turnaroundStay up-to-date with coding updates, regulatory changes, and payer-specific requirementsMeet daily coding productivity and quality benchmarks consistentlyRequired QualificationsCCS (Certified Coding Specialist) credential – must be the primary credentialMinimum 1 year of hands-on experience in inpatient facility coding (preferably 2–3 years)Strong knowledge of:DRG assignmentICD-10-PCS codingFacility-based ED codingExperience working with US-based inpatient medical recordsExcellent attention to detail and documentation review skillsPreferred QualificationsDual certification with CPC (AAPC) in addition to CCSCIC (AAPC) holders must also possess a CPC, along with strong inpatient coding expertiseFamiliarity with coding platforms and EMR systemsCommure is committed to creating and fostering a diverse team.
