Think of revenue as the game scoreboard, and BigSpring AI as the practice engine for people to get ready for the game.As a Front End/Full Stack Engineer on the BigSpring Core team, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining frontend projects, driving technical architecture, and contributing to the evolution of our platform's user-facing experiences. This is a unique opportunity to leverage the latest web technologies, including Next.js, React.js, JavaScript, CSS, TypeScript, AWS, and GraphQL, while also collaborating on innovative projects that involve Machine Learning (ML) and Large Language Models (LLMs)We're seeking a passionate Frontend Engineer with a strong focus on UI/UX to help us build intuitive and impactful user experiences for our critical internal tools, working on projects visible to the CEO level.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the architecture and development of scalable, performant frontend systems using React (often with Next.js) and TypeScript.Build elegant, intuitive interfaces.Develop reusable component libraries and design systems to support consistency and velocity across multiple product surfaces.Optimize web applications for performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility at scale.Integrate AI-driven product features and dynamic data flows into the frontend experience.Work within a modern cloud-native stack (e.g., Vercel, AWS/GCP, CI/CD pipelines) alongside backend and infra teammates.Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality, responsive user interfaces and components using React, NextJS, TypeScript, and SSR.Collaborate closely with product managers, business stakeholders, backend engineers, and users to translate requirements and feedback into effective frontend solutions.Take ownership of the user experience, applying UI/UX best practices, proposing design improvements, and implementing solutions even when detailed mockups are not provided.Write robust unit tests for your code using frameworks like Vitest, and contribute to establishing and maintaining end-to-end testing practices (e.g., using Cypress or Playwright).Integrate frontend components with backend REST APIs.Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives.Contribute to frontend architecture discussions, justifying design choices and helping implement scalable and maintainable solutions.Utilize Git for version control, following team branching and pull request workflows.Required Skills and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.6+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on frontend development.Proven expertise in building complex web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Zustand, Redux, MobX) and the ability to adapt to existing patterns.Solid understanding of responsive design principles and experience.BenefitsCompetitive compensation package with equity.Flexible location and work-from-home.Medical, vision, and dental coverage.Flexible vacation and PTO.Supportive, highly collaborative team environment.BigSpring is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
