This support role is critical in enabling senior bankers to maintain strong relationships with sponsors and identify business opportunities across M&A, capital markets, and portfolio company advisoryThe broad range of responsibilities offer the successful candidates an excellent start to their career in Investment Banking with comprehensive training, broad exposure and access to a first-class network for career advancement. The role will also provide opportunities to interact with bankers in different regions and to travel to different GS offices, for training, reconnecting with the global teams and working on assignments.Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Analyse and prepare industry, market, or company-specific deep divesResearch company financials, valuation and fundamental metricsBuild and maintain idea trackers across private, public, and carve-out opportunities, capturing ownership, key updates, investment thesis/rationale, and actionabilityConduct thematic sector studies and collaborate with sector teams to generate potential investment ideas tailored to client preferencesMaintain relationships with private equity clients to originate buyside, sellside, and financing mandatesAssist in preparing materials for internal client coverage and regular pipeline meetingsBasic QualificationsMaster's degree in, finance, accounting, economics or related fieldStrong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with teams across the world as an integrated team memberStrong interest and aptitude for finance and valuation principlesExcellent understanding of Microsoft Office products, tools and utilities for business usePreferred QualificationsCandidate must be proactive, enthusiastic and team orientedStrong client service orientationAbility and dedication to meet strict and aggressive deadlinesAnalytical mindset with an eye for details The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., 2025.
