We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with 10+ years of expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-scale data architectures. The ideal candidate will have very strong SQL skills , with the ability to design complex database solutions and performance-tuned queries. Experience with PL/SQL is highly valued. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on technical ability to drive our data ecosystem forward. Key Responsibilities Data Architecture & Strategy : Design, implement, and optimize scalable data architecture solutions across transactional, analytical, and reporting systems. Define standards, best practices, and governance models for data management and integration. Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to align data solutions with organizational objectives. Database Design & Development : Architect and maintain robust data models (conceptual, logical, and physical). Write, optimize, and review complex SQL and PL/SQL code for performance and maintainability. Ensure high availability, scalability, and security in database solutions. Data Integration & ETL : Design efficient ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data sources. Collaborate with data engineering teams to implement best practices in integration and transformation. Performance & Optimization : Monitor and tune large-scale database queries and stored procedures. Implement indexing, partitioning, and other strategies for performance improvements. Governance & Security : Ensure compliance with data quality, data privacy, and security policies. Define data retention, lineage, and metadata strategies. Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in data architecture and database development . Expert-level proficiency in SQL and advanced PL/SQL programming. Strong background in relational database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar). Proven experience in data modeling, database design, and performance tuning . Experience in ETL processes, data integration tools, and data warehouses/lakes . Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Preferred Skills Exposure to cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, GCP BigQuery). Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.). Experience with data governance frameworks and master data management (MDM) . Familiarity with big data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
