IBM Guardium Specialist – Cyber Security Domain 📍 Job Location: Kochi, Kerala 💼 Experience: 3 – 6 Years 🎓 Education: M.Sc. / MCA / B.E. / B.Tech (Computer Science or related field)💡 Primary Skill Set: IBM Data Activity Monitoring (IBM DAM) – Guardium ⚡ Notice Period: Immediate Joiners Preferred About the Role Talent Basket is hiring for our leading banking client in the Cyber Security domain, looking for an experienced IBM Guardium Specialist to strengthen their data protection and compliance framework. This role requires expertise in implementing and managing IBM Guardium solutions across enterprise-level database environments to ensure secure, compliant, and optimized operations. Key Responsibilities Installation & Configuration Install and configure IBM Guardium across the bank’s infrastructure. Set up monitoring agents for databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. Integrate Guardium with the existing cyber security and IT ecosystem. Policy & Compliance Management Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies tailored to banking and regulatory requirements. Regularly review and update policies in line with audits and evolving compliance frameworks. Ensure adherence to PCI-DSS, Data Privacy, and other relevant cyber security standards. Monitoring & Incident Response Enable real-time monitoring of database activities and analyze alerts for anomalies. Lead incident response for database-related security alerts. Conduct root cause analysis and document findings to prevent recurrence. Access Control & Auditing Manage user roles and permissions within IBM Guardium. Conduct regular audits of database access and permissions. Train internal teams on secure access and monitoring procedures. Integration & Optimization Collaborate with Cyber Security and IT teams to integrate Guardium with SIEM, Firewalls, and XDR systems. Perform periodic system health checks, apply patches, and optimize performance. Documentation & Reporting Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, policies, and audit records. Generate detailed reports on activity trends, access patterns, and compliance metrics. Support internal and external audits with required reports and insights. Desired Skills & Experience 3–6 years of hands-on experience in IBM Guardium implementation and management. Strong background in Cyber Security, Data Protection, and Compliance. Proficiency in database systems like Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. Experience integrating Guardium with SIEM, Firewall, and XDR tools.
