The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines, scripting logic, and supporting business-critical ETL processes in enterprise data environments.Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, and optimize complex SQL queries in Teradata for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.Build and automate ETL workflows using Datastage and shell scripting.Develop and support custom solutions using Python and Perl scripting for automation and transformation logic.Analyze, troubleshoot, and fine-tune existing data pipelines and jobs running on Unix/Linux environments.Collaborate with business analysts and data architects to transform business requirements into scalable technical solutions.Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes for data processing issues.Contribute to migration efforts and assist with onboarding new tools like Azure, Snowflake, or Databricks.Required Skills & Experience:Strong hands-on experience with Teradata SQL and Teradata utilities.Advanced knowledge of Unix shell scripting and Python programming.Experience in Perl scripting and IBM Datastage ETL development.Solid understanding of data analysis and transformation concepts.Proven ability to work with large datasets and optimize query performance.Preferred Skills:Familiarity with Airflow for workflow orchestration.Exposure to Mainframe systems and data migration projects.
