AppScan Product Lead Security ExpertWe are seeking a seasoned security professional to join our AppScan product team as a Lead Security Expert. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in application security and make a significant impact on our products.The successful candidate will be responsible for discovering new vulnerabilities in application source code, developing automatic vulnerability detection procedures, and providing security guidance for our products across various programming languages and frameworks.In this role, you will have the opportunity to innovate and improve the security logic of AppScan products, collaborate with our research lab teams, and analyze AppSec results to identify false positives.We are looking for someone with a strong background in security remediation techniques, secure coding best practices, and experience with Static Analysis (SAST) tools and triaging application security results.If you have expertise in security standards like OWASP Top 10 and CWE/SANS Top 25, proficiency in articulating security threats to developers or auditors, and ability to identify and provide examples of false positives and negatives in source code, we want to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:Discovering new vulnerabilities in application source code.Developing automatic vulnerability detection procedures.Providing security guidance for our products across various programming languages and frameworks.Innovating and improving the security logic of AppScan products.Collaborating with AppScan Research Lab teams.Analyzing AppSec results and identifying false positives.Prioritizing high-priority issues based on severity and likelihood of exploit.Understanding remediation techniques for various languages and frameworks.Executing Source Code Analysis, Reverse Engineering, and Threat Modelling.Required Skills and Qualifications:Experience with Static Analysis (SAST) tools and triaging application security results.Proficiency in security remediation techniques and secure coding best practices.Expertise with security standards like OWASP Top 10 and CWE/SANS Top 25.Ability to articulate security threats to developers or auditors.Ability to identify and provide examples of false positives and negatives in source code.Experience with multiple operating systems and software attack/exploitation techniques.Familiarity with defensive programming concepts.Benefits:Opportunity to work on a comprehensive suite of Application Security Solutions.Collaborative environment with experienced security professionals.Chance to innovate and improve the security logic of AppScan products.Others:A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.Relevant certifications (e.g., OSWP, OSCP).Experience working with distributed cross-functional teams and identifying/escalating risks.
