Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and excellent back end Software Engineer II to join our engineering team in delivering innovative solutions while improving and maintaining the quality of our products. The engineer will be responsible for developing clean, scalable, and testable solutions in our Node and PHP codebase. Candidates should demonstrate some proficiency in code quality, code delivery, documentation, and software development best practices and illustrate a capacity for growth in these areas. We value software craftsmanship and encourage innovative and pragmatic approaches to software development.Responsibilities:Act as an active team member in developing scalable, high-performance software solutionsWrite clean, maintainable, and testable codeIndependently work on projects within a few areas of the product to ensure cohesive and integrated solutionsIndependently define, design, and communicate most work within the team, effectively articulating technical solutions and strategiesActively participate in code and design reviewsParticipate in initiatives for process improvement, enhancing team efficiency and effectivenessKeep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologiesWrite and maintain technical documentationParticipate actively in Agile/Scrum teams to ensure effective project executionComfortable coaching and mentoring junior team membersRequirements:4+ years of professional experience in software engineeringExperience in software design & developmentExpertise in
PHP, SQL
and design patternsExperience with Javascript, specifically Node middleware, React and Relational databaseExperience using docker containers, Kubernetes, CI/CDExperience with cloud technologies preferable AWSExcellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholdersA self-starter with a passion for technology and innovationGeneral awareness of modern process best practices (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc.)Build and maintain new features from ticketsComfortable navigating existing codebasesFamiliar with code quality practices, effective refactoringExperience with writing and maintaining unit tests, integration tests
