Debt Investment SpecialistAbout the Role:We are seeking a skilled Debt Investment Specialist to join our team, supporting one of our U.S. clients—a leading investment firm managing a diversified credit portfolio.Key Responsibilities:Analyze and evaluate new debt investment opportunities across industries and instruments, providing insightful recommendations for investment committee consideration.Develop robust financial models to assess company performance, cash flows, leverage, and repayment capacity, ensuring accurate and reliable data-driven insights.Conduct thorough due diligence, including financial reviews, covenant analysis, and sector benchmarking, to inform strategic investment decisions.Draft clear, concise investment memos that summarize key findings and support data-backed recommendations for investment committee approval.Monitor macroeconomic indicators and interest rate trends relevant to portfolio performance, staying ahead of market developments to optimize returns.Maintain up-to-date reports on credit health, performance metrics, and risk exposure for existing investments, identifying areas for improvement and mitigation strategies.Support deal documentation, legal coordination, and transaction closing processes, ensuring seamless execution of investment transactions.Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.2–5 years of experience in investment banking, private credit, structured finance, or corporate lending, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results under pressure.Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling, with the ability to build complex models and analyze large datasets.Strong understanding of credit documentation, cash flow modeling, and debt structuring principles, ensuring effective risk management and optimal investment outcomes.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, actionable recommendations.Self-motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong analytical judgment and problem-solving skills, able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.Preferred Experience:Prior experience working with private credit, mezzanine, or distressed debt investments, with a deep understanding of the associated risks and rewards.Familiarity with U.S. credit markets, loan agreements, and covenant frameworks, allowing for effective navigation of complex regulatory landscapes.Experience supporting cross-border or emerging market transactions, with a demonstrated ability to adapt to diverse cultural and business environments.Additional Details:The ideal candidate will be immediately available to start and able to work remotely, with flexibility to accommodate U.S. working hours.
