About the RoleAs an Associate, Data Management within Amgen's Marketing Data Hub (MDH), you will be part of a global team that enables data-driven decision-making for Amgen's Commercial organization. You will support the execution of data management activities, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help maintain the data platforms that power insights into prescriber and patient engagement.This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals passionate about data, analytics, and technology who want to build a strong foundation in commercial data management within the pharmaceutical industry. Key Responsibilities1. Support Data-Enabling Features within Product TeamsAssist in the execution and deployment of data-related features within Commercial Data Platform Product teams in alignment with Amgen's governance and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Participate in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) by supporting requirements gathering, documentation, testing, and data validationWork with marketing and commercial datasets (e.g., marketing campaign data, HCP/Patient activity, IQVIA data, CRM systems) under guidance from senior team membersHelp maintain data pipelines, perform data quality checks, and support anomaly identification and resolutionCollaborate with Technology teams to troubleshoot data issues and document findings for knowledge sharingContribute to connected data products that enable marketing and analytics teams to derive meaningful insights2. Support Operational and Transition ActivitiesAssist in operational data management tasks related to the insourcing of work at the Amgen India Innovation Center.Help maintain documentation, trackers, and repositories to ensure smooth handovers and ongoing operational efficiencySupport the setup and execution of standard processes to maintain data consistency and traceability3. Collaborate Across TeamsWork closely with global team members, including peers in the US, to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of assigned tasksCoordinate with cross-functional teams within the Data Management and Technology organization to support ongoing projectsContribute to team meetings, process discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives Basic QualificationsAny degree and 2–5 years of relevant data management in pharma industryFoundational understanding of data processes and data life cycleGood communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skillsStrong written and spoken English Functional SkillsMust-HaveExposure to pharma or commercial datasets, such as marketing, HCP/Patient activity, or CRM dataBasic understanding of data management concepts (data quality, governance, metadata, lineage)Working knowledge of data analysis or scripting tools such as SQL, Python, or RFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Databricks) or a strong willingness to learnAbility to follow structured processes and maintain documentation accuratelyEagerness to learn about end-to-end commercial data flows and modern data management practicesGood-to-HaveExperience working with analytics, marketing, or CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Datorama)Awareness of compliance, data privacy, and governance principlesExposure to Agile or Product Team environments Soft SkillsStrong attention to detail and a proactive attitudeWillingness to learn and take initiative under guidanceEffective communication and teamwork in cross-functional, global settingsAdaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
