Database ArchitectWe're seeking an experienced Database Architect to join our team. As a key member of our data management team, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining MySQL database schemas, queries, views, triggers and stored procedures.To succeed in this role, you'll need strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to communicate complex technical ideas effectively. You should have hands-on experience with relational databases and a solid understanding of query optimisation strategies, normalisation, indexing and execution plans.You'll work closely with our engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of database solutions into our applications. A proven track record of delivering high-performance, scalable database solutions is essential.Requirements:At least 3-6 years of dedicated hands-on experience with MySQL, including query writing, schema design, performance improvements and database administration.Strong understanding of database concepts, including data modeling, ER diagrams, database design patterns and data warehousing.Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git.Experience working with Linux operating systems and containerisation tools like Docker.Able to communicate technical ideas clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience with database monitoring tools, performance dashboards and logging frameworks.Bonus Points:Experience with cloud-based database services such as AWS RDS or Google Cloud SQL.Knowledge of security best practices and compliance regulations such as HIPAA or PCI-DSS.Familiarity with NoSQL databases and graph databases.Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
