About the RoleThis role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse set of services, collaborating with internal teams and architects to deliver secure, scalable solutions.You should have experience working with cloud services architecture and security protocols.Our ideal candidate has expertise in Identity and Crypto areas as an architect or Principal Engineer at a major Hyperscaler. This experience is essential for understanding security in large-scale cloud environments.We need someone who can balance breadth and depth, ensuring we make informed decisions when rearchitecting and transforming services from legacy systems to new ones.To succeed, you will need to stay up-to-date with the growth of regions and their associated challenges. This includes managing regions and realms securely, covering crypto, identity, access, and permissions.The goal is to apply the same rigor to security that we do to system availability, improving overall availability and security.Key Responsibilities:Delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems (15+ years of experience).Security engineering, computer and network security, security protocols, and applied cryptography.Data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.Databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.Guiding internal teams on building secure architectures and onboarding new technologies.Collaborating with architects and service teams to assess security risks and maintain high standards.Supporting security programs and engineering/architecture in complex enterprise environments.This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and collaboration abilities.
