Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design and deploy scalable data processing solutions on Google Cloud Platform.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Java 17+, Apache Beam, and Airflow/Cloud Composer with exposure to GCP Big Data services.Key Responsibilities:Data Processing PipelinesCreate reliable data pipelines using Java 17+ and Apache Beam executed on GCP Cloud Dataflow.Data Orchestration WorkflowsBuild and manage workflows using Apache Airflow or GCP Cloud Composer including creating and maintaining DAGs with common and custom operators.Data ManagementWork extensively with GCP Big Data services such as BigQuery, BigTable, Cloud SQL, and Google Cloud Storage (GCS) for data ingestion transformation storage and optimization.SQL Query DevelopmentWrite optimize and review complex SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis particularly within BigQuery and Cloud SQL.Code Quality and MaintenanceMaintain high standards of code quality testing documentation and best practices.CollaborationCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable cloud solutions.Required Skills and QualificationsGCP ExperienceStrong knowledge of GCP.Java DevelopmentJava 17+ development experience.Cloud DataflowHands-on experience with Cloud Dataflow (Apache Beam programming).Airflow/Cloud ComposerExperience in Airflow/Cloud Composer for creating and managing DAGs.GCP Big Data ServicesProficiency in GCP Big Data services:BigQuery.BigTable.GCS.Cloud SQL.SQL SkillsStrong SQL skills.QualificationEducational BackgroundBachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.Professional Experience0–3 years of relevant experience in cloud or data engineering roles.
